Qatar and France Launch Initiative for Cooperating in Delivering Humanitarian Aid to Gaza

On the sidelines of the visit currently being undertaken by HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to Paris, Qatar and the French Republic launched an initiative for cooperation in the field of humanitarian aid to alleviate the suffering of Palestinian civilians besieged in the Gaza Strip.
In implementation of the cooperation initiative, three aircraft belonging to the Qatari Armed Forces arrived today in the city of El Arish in the Arab Republic of Egypt, carrying 75 tons of humanitarian aid, including 10 ambulances, shelter supplies, and food items, provided by the State of Qatar and the French Republic, in preparation for their transfer to Gaza.

Minister of State for International Cooperation Meets Kuwaiti Foreign Minister

HE Minister of State for International Cooperation Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater met here today with HE Kuwaiti Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya, on the margin of the High-Level Segment of the 55th session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva.
The meeting, discussed the latest developments in the situation in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, primarily regional and international efforts for an immediate ceasefire in the Strip; the catastrophic repercussions of the deteriorating humanitarian situation; ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries to ensure the continued entry of relief aid into Gaza; and the need to resume support for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).
The two sides also touched on the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in the Republic of The Sudan and the need to intensify relief efforts and unify endeavors aimed at defusing the war and resolving the Sudanese crisis through peaceful and diplomatic means.
During the meeting, HE the Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the State of Qatar’s thanks to the State of Kuwait for its continuous efforts and good endeavors to enhance stability in the region and maintain regional and international peace and security, praising the State of Kuwait’s great relief and humanitarian efforts, which made it one of the leading countries in the region in this field.

Minister of State for International Cooperation Meets Palestinian Foreign Minister

HE Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater met Monday with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine Riad al-Maliki, on the sidelines of the high-level segment of the Human Rights Council’s 55th session held at the United Nations Headquarters in Geneva.
During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, particularly regional and international efforts aimed at reaching an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, and stopping violations in all Palestinian territories. The meeting also addressed the repercussions of the catastrophic humanitarian situation, especially as the holy month of Ramadan approaches, in addition to the Israeli occupation’s oppressive measures against worshipers at Al-Aqsa Mosque and its blatant violations in the West Bank.
HE Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine, expressed, during the meeting, his country’s thanks to the State of Qatar for its mediation to end the war on Gaza and its steadfast support for the rights of the Palestinian people, especially during its oral argument before the International Court of Justice in the advisory sessions on Palestine.

Qatar Donates Sports Equipment Used in FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 to Kenya

The State of Qatar donated sports equipment used in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 to the Republic of Kenya.
HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Kenya Mohammed bin Mutair Al Anazi delivered the sports equipment to a representative of the Kenyan government at the port of Mombasa.
The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 marked a milestone in the history of the State of Qatar and the Arab world, and left a social, humanitarian, economic and environmental legacy for the country and the region, and established new standards regarding sustainable planning and implementation of major events and ensuring that they leave a positive impact locally and internationally for decades to come.  

President of Jordanian Senate Meets Qatari Ambassador

During the meeting, they discussed the close strategic relations between the State of Qatar and the United States of America and ways to support and develop them. In addition, they discussed the latest developments in the region, especially in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories.

Dr. Majed Al-Ansari, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that the State of Qatar has received confirmation from the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) regarding the receipt of a shipment of medicines and the commencement of their delivery to beneficiaries among the hostages in the Gaza Strip, in implementation of an agreement between Hamas and Israel, mediated by Qatar in cooperation with France last month.

Dr. Al-Ansari explained in a statement to the Qatar News Agency (QNA) that Qatar received these confirmations as the mediator in the agreement, which includes the entry of medicines and a shipment of humanitarian aid to civilians in the Gaza Strip, especially in the most affected and damaged areas, in exchange for delivering the medicines needed by hostages in the sector.

The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed the continuation of Qatari mediation, with regional and international partners, especially in the exchange of prisoners and hostages, humanitarian aspects, and medical evacuation, as part of Qatar’s efforts to end the war in the Gaza Strip.

Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Meets GCC Ministers of Tourism

HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met today with Their Excellencies Ministers of Tourism in the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) member states, who are participating in the eighth ministerial meeting hosted by Doha.
His Excellency welcomed the guests, wishing them success in their meeting in Doha.
The meeting was attended by HE GCC Secretary General Jasem Mohamed AlBudaiwi and HE Chairman of Qatar Tourism Saad bin Ali Al Kharji.
