HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met Saturday with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the sisterly Sultanate of Oman Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi on the margins of Munich Security Conference.
During the meeting, they discussed cooperation relationships between the two sisterly countries and developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories.

HM King Abdullah II bin Al Husain of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan met here today with HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, on the margin of the Munich Security Conference.
At the outset of the meeting, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs conveyed HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani’s greetings and wishes of good health and happiness to HM King Abullah II, and continued progress and prosperity to the fraternal Jordanian people.
For his part, HM King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan entrusted HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs with his greetings and wishes of good health and happiness to HH the Amir, and further development and prosperity to the Qatari people.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral cooperation relations and ways to support and develop them, the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories. They also discussed means to bolster regional and international efforts for reaching an immediate ceasefire, and expediting unhindered entry of humanitarian assistance to all parts of the Strip in addition to a host of topics of mutual interest.

During the meeting, they discussed the strategic partnership between the State of Qatar and the World Food Programme and ways to enhance cooperation in the field of humanitarian assistance, particularly in Gaza, Yemen, and Afghanistan, as well as other topics of mutual interest.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized the importance of providing all forms of support to the World Food Programme, noting its vital humanitarian roles, especially in conflict zones and crises, as well as its efforts to address the global food crisis.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral cooperation relations and ways to enhance and develop them, in addition to the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, as well as the expanding circle of violence in the region, and its repercussions on regional and global security and stability.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar’s position calling for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, the protection of civilians, and the continuous flow of humanitarian aid into the Strip without hindrance.

Minister of State for International Cooperation Meets Advisor to the French President For MENA

HE Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater met here today with HE Advisor to the French President on North Africa and the Middle East Anne-Claire Legendre.
The two sides discussed bilateral relations and the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, in addition to aspects of cooperation in delivering humanitarian assistance to the Strip.
During the meeting, HE Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs underlined the necessity of continuing the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, and strengthening regional and international efforts aimed at reaching an immediate ceasefire.
Her Excellency touched on the close cooperation between the state pf Qatar and the French Republic, especially in the areas of relief and health in Gaza. She pointed, in this regard, to the joint initiative between the two friendly countries to deliver medicines to the Gaza Strip, in addition to evacuating a number of wounded Palestinians, who were receiving treatment on board the French ship Dixmude (anchored in the Egyptian port of Al Arish), to Qatar.
HE French Ambassador to Qatar Jean-Baptiste Faivre attended the meeting.

Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Takes Part in World Governments Summit in Dubai

Dubai – February 12 

HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani participated Monday in the World Governments Summit 2024, held in Dubai in the sisterly United Arab Emirates under the theme: “Shaping Future Governments”.

HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs pointed out that the wide participation of governments and organizations in the summit is an important indicator for the success of the summit which has become an important milestone in promoting the government work and discussing its developments, adding that the event is a testament to the success made by the sisterly United Arab Emirates in leading the dialogue between governments and professionals globally.

The World Governments Summit brings together 120 government delegates, as well as over 85 regional and international organizations and institutions, in addition to a contingent of thought leaders and global experts in the presence of more than 4000 participants.
The summit discuses avenues for reaching shared visions to promote the government work, forge cooperation among the world governments, share expertise and focus on inspired stories and models that left positive footprints in the government work and made a real change to the reality of their states and communities.

During the summit, high-level ministerial meetings are convened, including the ministerial meeting of ministers concerned with sustainable development, a ministerial meeting to discuss the overview of the next generation of the future governments, the meeting of Arab finance ministers, a consultative meeting with the labour ministers in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GGC) states and the meeting of energy ministers to discuss the future of hydrogen energy. 

Qatar Takes Part in 126th Session of Permanent Council of Francophonie

 The State of Qatar participated in the 126th extraordinary session of the Permanent Council of the Francophonie, which was held virtually under the chairmanship of HE Secretary General of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) Louise Mushikiwabo.

HE the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the French Republic and its representative to OIF Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani represented the State of Qatar in the meeting.
